It's pretty simple: If you're not building your opt-in email list, it's like throwing out a map to buried treasure -- just because you might have to actually dig a little to get to it!
I know the Internet Marketing Center would probably still be just a few people toiling away in a cramped little office if we weren't constantly building our email list with great opt-in offers. That's the heart of our business strategy -- and as a result, our email marketing campaigns alone brought in $3.5 million last year.
The thing is, visitors come to your web site in the first place because they want something you can provide. So you should be able to draw a percentage of them into your opt-in email list by providing more of the same... except making it a little harder to get.
You need to give them something they'll value in exchange for their name and email address. After all, why should they hand their valuable information over to someone they don't know?
Now when it comes to building your opt-in email list, a lot of people automatically think "newsletter." But there are are lots of other opt-in incentives that can be just as effective! In fact, there could be lots of even BETTER ideas, depending on the business you're in.
When you discover the best offer for your site visitors, you'll know by the big jump in opt ins. And with a bigger opt-in email list to promote to, you'll increase your revenues in a BIG way.
In my latest newsletter, I looked at the big questions you need to answer to create the most effective offer possible for your business and your target market:
WHY you need a killer opt-in email strategy (guess I've already answered that one)
WHO you need to target with your opt-in offer
WHAT kind of opt-in offer will keep your visitors coming back to your site again and again
HOW to set up your opt-in offer
WHERE it belongs on your web site to maximize your opt-ins
Figuring out YOUR answers to these questions is going to take you a long way toward creating an offer that will really expand your opt-in email list.

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?
Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.
The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.
More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.
I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for "The Next
Big Thing". Anything can happen... Right?
For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.
I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.
